In 1947, nine insightful businessmen got together to establish the Singapore Ship-Chandlers Association with the common goal of safeguarding the interests of the industry. Over the past 60 over years, the association has come a long way to become an established organization of more than 150 members. It has facilitated not only business promotion but also assisted in raising service standards of ship chandlers. The Association and our members have played an instrumental role in Singapore’s development as a global hub port.

By providing consistent and reliable essential services and supplies to ship arriving at the port of Singapore, our members have contributed to the growth and development of Singapore as an international maritime centre.

Shipping in the 21st century is highly complicated and technologically advance component of the transport industry. It relies heavily on efficient shore-support services. Undoubtedly we have a critical role to play, and it is the most reassuring that our association is able to rely on each other’s co-operation to achieve our mutual objectives – long way that continue as we watch our association continue to grow from strength to strength.
